Changes to the WAAS Satellite Status (July 2007)

Please read the attached support bulletin which outlines the changes to the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) satellites.

When the old satellites (PRN 122 and 134) are to be decommissioned in July 2007, Trimble recommends that you prepare to switch your Trimble® AgGPS® receiver or EZ-Guide® lightbar to use the new satellites as a correction source.

Changes to the WAAS satellite status

The following changes to the WAAS satellites are due to take place in July 2007, however the FAA has not provided an exact date as of the release of this bulletin:

  • PRN 122 (AOR-W) to be decommissioned (turned off)
  • PRN 134 (POR) to be decommissioned (turned off)
  • PRN 138 will be moved to active status The FAA predicts that there will be a multi-day outage of PRN 138 while the cutover from test mode to operational mode procedures are complete.
